Support and TroubleshootingMyECU is not an invincible
piece of hardware. Electrical problems with the bike are just as likely
to damage MyECU as they are the WMECU. The major difference is with the
serviceability of MyECU. With the MyECU schematics available and the use
of readily available parts ( except the microprocessor ), the original
intention was that the rider can now troubleshoot and repair their own
controller. However I understand that most riders will still not be able
or desire to do this. Below is an outline of how I intend to support MyECU.
Prices are in Australian dollars. Troubleshooting GuideWork in progress Installation step oneWith the ignition key off, pin 3 of the MyECU connector should show 12 volts. This is connected
to the battery via the ECU power relay coil. Pin 5 is the "keyed"
power and should be sitting near 0 volts at this time. The ECU power input,
pin 16 should also be zero. |
